My client is a leading systems integrator, providing IT services and solutions to high profile customers across the UK.
Due to their continued success they are looking for and SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to be based on customer site in Essex.
Working within a team of DBA?s, your role will involve the following duties: ?Assisting the developers in the successful design, testing, and deployment of databases; ?Working with software engineers to maintain and monitor the SQL Servers; ?Creating and modifying Unix Shell Scripts; ?Installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle software on to Windows and Solaris platforms; ?Performance monitoring and reporting; ?Execution of backup and recovery procedures.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working in large scale environments, and must be adept in the following areas: ?SQL Server; ?Performance analysis; ?Trouble-shooting; ?MS SQL; ?Good interpersonal * customer facing skills.
Additional experience of any of the following is also highly desirable: ?Unix based operating systems (Solaris); ?Oracle database administration.
